Green pleated big purse

I loved making the pink purse out of the pillowcases.The pattern is just sooooooo nice.I decided to make one more in a different fabric:)

The pattern is absolutely the same,pleated front & back,button closure.Here too I used unbleached cotton as the lining,I loved how clean it looks!!!! See how its peaking out...........it makes the stitching look so professional:)     Well thats because I am a gooooooood seamstress;)

The fabric is called shimmer cotton.It has a little shimmer to it..........did anybody notice that????

Again this fabric was meant for an Indian kurti but hell...........I have loads of them.I wanted a purse out of this.I still have the fabric left,so i guess I will make  a matching purse organiser & put it up for sale:)

While making this I did not realise that I didnt have a matching button & I did not want to go all the way to the market just for 1 button...........& I think it looks much better than a generic green button:)

Why am I in love with the pleated design????????? i have already made 3!!!

For pockets I made a long strip which goes across the entire width of the purse & divided it into 3 section.

1 small pocket for mobile,1 big pocket  & 1 pen slip.

I just wish there was somebody at home to click a pic of me carrying it:(
