Baggy update!

All this while that I am planning my party,sending out invitations,trying the drinks I am also making my bags!
I am pretty happy with my work this week!.....................see the goodies I churned out!

And while I was writing up this post....................one of my fav bags sold!.................I am happy but I was secretly wishing I could keep it for myself ;)...............it was a single piece bag too !

Day & Night!

LOL............I have a penchant for naming my purses something fun & cute......too bad I can't actually use these names while listing coz Google does not understand fun & jazzy,it understand boring!
So even though I am itching to call my new bag Day & Night given the color combo ,I am forced to call it a messenger Tote!

I love love love the weave.............yes, the pattern is a weave & not print!
The back is the exact reverse in weave,I mean the black & silver are opposite.............I didn't click a pic...........duh!

The strap is adjustable so it goes either way:)................My ever so gracious neighbor sporting it both wayz:)

I have enough fabric to make 3 of these ,so YAY!!
Nautical is an upcoming trend this spring,so I made a cute white & blue striped messenger too,it has a jute rope knotted sailor style as accessory but then I ran out of adjustable buckle for the strap so it's still incomplete:(
I'm itching to finish it but today is Sunday & you guessed it right,the d*** store is closed!
So I have to wait till tomorrow to finish it..................ugh,I guess I will start on a new damask fabric I got!

new designs.........

wohoooo...........I got loads of purse frames................in all shapes & sizes,I couldn't wait to get started!.................even though I have not bought the glue yet,I started on one & all that remains is the glue & then it is done!

 The brocade silk is gorgeous,in shade of blue & is lined in blue taffeta silk....................what should I call this shade of blue?

& here is Doggie B,sleeping under the bed..............I don't know why he refuses to sleep in his own bed!

Small Duffel

I decided to make a small duffel bag from the gorgeous chocolate Camel leather I got from Rajasthan.I finally found the box of rivets I had misplaced a few months backs & I went ballistic with the rivets:)
LOL............you can see that right;)

I had so much fun making it.............thinking of making a pdf for it too.............I have loooooooooooooot's of plans ,let's see how many actually materialise:)

Here's my ever so sporting neighbor wearing it in different ways!

Traveler in Horse leather:)

I told ya'll about the gorgeous horse leather I got right?
I have learnt how to hand stitch leather with leather lace but could not do it as I don't get leather lace where I stay,this time on my trip I managed to get matching leather lace too:)
So I decided to make  unisex traveller & I am mighty thrilled with the result:)
So I present to you Traveler  in real Horse leather..................in cocoa bean

and a gorgeous color I am struggling to name!.................any ideas what color is this?

These are totally hand stitched & have an outside pocket & a inner zippered pocket.
The strap is adjustable too................here is my neighbour's daughter sporting it:)

I wasn't sure how the hand stitched bag will turn out so I just bought small hides enough to make only 1 bag....& now I am cursing myself:(
They have turned out gorgeous..................if I get a good response to these in the shop I will consider sending somebody to buy more of the leather & leather lace:)
I also got a small hide of camel leather,I am off to make some Arm Candy in it.....................will come back with an update when I am done:)

welcome & farewell!

LOL..............I know the title sounds very dramatic but currently my life revolves around my creations aka....my purses so this post is for all the farewells & the welcome additions to  my shop!
All these lovelies have found new owners :)

 

And have added these yummilicious clutches to the shop:)

OOh............Isn't it fun?

I have now started on a pretty red purse...............yup a purse not a clutch,clutches are all I seem to be making nowadays! Well the red one will have a striped side gussets & top zip closure with a few cute fabric roses on the front!

Can't wait to get started & post the pics here:)

I am down with seveeeeeeeeere cold so I am kinda doubtful that I will finish it today but lemme atleast start!

Something new & Blue?

I told you about the brocades I got right?
So I decided to start with a pretty turquoise blue with golden dots woven in it...........I actually want to say that I will NEVER make this clutch again but it has turned out sooooo pretty that I have already started with the next one;)
With so many layers of interfacing it was really difficult to make it,but the end result was worth all the headaches while sewing!

 I have a saree in the exact same shade,so I am really tempted to keep it for myself instead of putting it in the shop;)
I lined it in dull gold silk & added a zippered compartment inside:)

Check out the boxy base.............it can carry so many things!

The next one I have started is in reverse combo,the body of the clutch is in gold with blue dots & the flap is in blue with golden dots..............I am soooooo excited about making it........will post pics tomorrow:)

2 in 1 clutch!

I was in a mood to make something whacky,fun, not run of the mill!
See what I turned up with.............I am calling it 2 in 1 clutch:)
Why.................coz it has different design on front & back..........both are co-ordinated though.........I have not gone totally bonkers yet;)
The front / back or I should say one side is made in metallic silver foil..............oh I love it,the metallic sheen screams PARTY!!!!.............& there are 2 very cute ruffles on it made in metallic grey foil with swirls & ovals printed on it:)

The other side is made in  grey metallic foil.............ain't it looking yum!

 The inside is soooo gorgeous...........made of the silver foil...........I love the shape of the clutch more than anything else!

 

I also bought a pile of lovely gorgeous fabrics yesterday......silks in lipstick red,bottle green,turquoise,bronze,patterned  cottons.................I soooooo can't wait to get started!

Black bling!

I get obsessed with one type of purses/clutches & then I make lots of them till I burn out!
That happened to me with the leather purses:)
Now I am into shiny blingy party purses!
So this is the latest I made.............quite like the ruffled bling............I want to call it Black Truffle :)

I added the ruffles to the front & the back of the clutch is covered in plain sequined net!..................Believe me it's looking gorgeous!

 

I went to the market today & bought lots of fab fabrics in bright colors like red,green,turquoise,copper,lot of brocades ................I am soooooo excited,can't stop thinking of all the yum things I can churn out from the lovely Indian fabrics!
I am going to go make lunch & then finish another pretty clutch so that I can show off tomorrow;)

All new party metallic blingy clutch!!

I am enjoying making these party blingy clutches so much!
They are much more fun than making big purses!...............OK my pursies,don't be J,I love you too but it's just that I have spent last few months working on leather purses,this change is sooooo refreshing!
So here is my latest creation.................pleated clutch in metallic grey foil with swirls & ovals in metallic silver!

I pleated the outer fabric way more than I needed & the stingy brain of mine did not allow me to waste it so guess what I did with it?

YAY!!! pleated pocket:)
I love love the metallic accents on this one.............it screams party!
And yet it is sober enough to be carried at day time!.................so a 2 in 1 clutch:)
Goes in the shop today:)

All in a Day's work!

Well...........as you guys know the black Friday-cyber Monday sale has been ON in my shop since thanksgiving,but I had a sale yesterday where the customer did not use the coupon code!
I don't know why...........I have mentioned it very clearly in EACH item description in the very first line!

I don't know anyone who wouldn't want to save a buck when it is offered on a platter!...........anywayz I FINALLY inaugurated my brand new sewing machine & made a super blingy shiny clutch:)
With all the partying season coming up,I guess this is the right time to launch them !

This is also the first clutch with my brand name tags on it...........so a big YAY for all the firsts!!

Lovely new fabrics

Did I tell you the beautiful shiny blingy fabrics I bought?
I don't think so!..............I got a black fabric covered with black sequins & another black fabric covered with silver sequins...........the bling is so hip...............just love it

As you can see from the pic,what a fine photographer I am...............it's going to be really challenging clicking pics of the completed purses...............I am really doubtful whether I will be able to do justice to the purses!

Anywayz.................will cross the bridge when I reach it:)

This is another fab fabric I got...............this grey with silver pattern on it is amazing!

I got plain silver fabric to line the purse/clutch.Ideas are swirling in my mind as to what all I want to make,but so far I haven't tried anything!

Though I have started on 1 clutch...................cut the fabric,interfacing & stashed it neatly in my WIP basket here

I just hope it doesn't stay there for eternity!

Monday morning blues!

Not this monday morning!
I am super excited,my sister & my hubby's sister,both are flying in today & I am like YAY!!!!!!!
They are both same age,get along with each other like fire & getting married next year..................so we are gonna do looooooots of weddingy shopping:)
Um.................to calm me down I decided to finish a leather purse I had started a few DAYS back!!!!

 The leather is just ammmmmmmmazing...........................the leather is full grain so really yummilicious!
The chestnut color is really pretty...................I love the outer pocket I have added alongwith my staple of zippered pocket & top zip closure.
Take a peek in & see the lovely gingham:)

Another reason I am so happy is I get free models for my purses;)
Well,that is not the only reason I am so excited................I am NOT so shallow;)
LOL..................I am off to get things ready for their arrival..............you can check out the purse details in the shop.
