Today is my lil baby's 4th birthday!
Time just flies.............................it was just yesterday when she arrived in this world fighting to survive,yes she is a born fighter!
She was born 8 weeks pre-mature with Tachycardia & a tumor in the placenta..........................she literally fought for her life in NICU for days!
I don't have any pics to share as my hubby was away on a United Nations Mission to Africa at that time ,he is an officer in the Indian Army & his call to serve his country comes before anything else & that makes him the man he is & the reason I love & respect him!
With an emergency C-section I was in no state to click any pics & as soon as she was born,she was literally frisked away to NICU..........................doctor's did not want to show her to me in case she did not survive!
Then started the endless tests for hearts complications,her lungs had not fully developed so the efforts ,medications & steriods to make sure her lungs did not collapse ,my heart would writhe in pain when blood was taken from her veins drop by drop for tests,the agony of hearing my 1 week old child screaming in pain................I don't know why I am putting myself through all of that again,but I want to write it somewhere,so when she grows up & gives me a hard time as a teen,when I get angry at her ,I will read this & remember how precious she is!
I really cannot believe that I went through all that alone,with nobody to hold my hand & tell me , It will be alright or a simple I love you!
My son was just 3 & he was left alone with a caretaker & he was terrified to see his mom taken away into surgery at night!......................I thought at that time that I was all alone but after 4 years I can clearly see HIS hands holding mine & guiding me & supporting me through that difficult phase!......................Today I am just glad that she is healthy though very skinny,intelligent,witty,sensitive & caring!
I have no ambitions for her other than she leads a healthy & happy life.............................God bless you my baby & may you celebrate many many many more happy & healthy birthdays .......................mwah:)

What a beautiful little girl! I can not imagine the anguish you described for her first weeks - I am glad to see the smiling girl you now have!
